Lithuanian judge Neringa Venckiene has asked the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals to halt her extradition to Lithuania. She faces trumped up charges meant to silence her claims of a powerful and lucrative pedophile network, flourishing in Lithuania and beyond. Those familiar with the powerful government officials demanding Judge Venckiene’s extradition believe she will be executed if she returns.
Hearings were held at the Helsinki Commission on September 27, 2018. Witnesses included Judge Venckiene’s young adult son, Karolis Venckus, with whom she fled Lithuania in 2013 and International Human Rights Litigator Abbe Jolles. The Helsinki Commission is a bi-partisan Commission that monitors compliance with human-rights accords.
